Nepal Handloom Silk Industry first was established as Pioneer Silk Impex in 1978. Since 1998 we have acknowledged ourselves as Nepal Handloom Silk Industry. We take pride in informing that the company is currently at its second generation in business and is also the 1st company to manufacture and export Handloom Silk and other natural fiber created fabrics and garments. The company was started as a Handloom Silk fabric and garment manufacturer, promoting and developing 100% naturally resourced fiber produced in Nepal. We were back then, successfully exporting mainly to Canada to a client for more than 20 years because of the reliance bond we had built over the years. Our products then were limited to Hand-woven Raw Silk, Cotton, Wool and other (experimental mixture of different yarns e.g. Raw Silk/Cotton, Raw Silk/Wool) fabrics and garments. After over 30 successful years in business, Nepal Handloom Silk Industry is still the only company in whole of Nepal dealing in Handloom Raw Silk fabrics and garments.
In 1989 we started an investment in the Pashmina Industry which helped our company in exploring new boundaries. In 2005 we spread our product line further, as we entered the Linen Industry (Linen yarns are imported from China and India, but all manufacturing process is done here, in Nepal). Since then we have been exporting Handloom Silk, Pashmina, Linen and other fabrics and garments to very satisfied, long term clients from many countries like Sweden, Norway, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands (Europe), USA, Canada and Japan. We have also been successful in pleasing all levels of tourists who visit Nepal, in particular, the Japanese and the Europeans.
